The Detroit Pistons have signed former Wizard Jarvis Hayes to help them off of the bench. He can handle either the shooting guard or small forward position. He played in 81 games (17 starts) last season with the Wizards and he averaged 20.1 minutes, 7.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. Hayes shot decent last season as he ht 41% from the floor, 36.1% from three point range and 84.5% from the free throw line.
Hayes has now played in 226 games (94 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 25.4 minutes, 8.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He has nailed 40.2% of his shots from the floor, 34.1% from three point range and 82.4% from the free throw line. The bottom line is that Hayes will improve the Pistons’ bench.
